Ask your GP about acupuncture for your specific condition
Systematic reviews carried out by The Cochrane Collaboration have found there is some evidence acupuncture may have a beneficial effect on tension-type headaches, migraines, nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy, nausea and vomiting after surgery, osteoarthritis, neck pain, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). However, because of disagreements over the way acupuncture trials should be carried out and over what their results mean, the existence of some positive evidence does not mean acupuncture definitely works for these conditions. We recommend that you ask your General Practitioner about acupuncture treatment (or any other complementary care treatment) is suitable for your particular condition.

Please contact us to book your appointment in our Buckingham clinic or in the comfort of your own (subject to availability and additional costs. Please contact us for more information regarding our mobile acupuncture service). For home visits, please ensure that a treatment space can be provided in a well lit, clean room with ready access to a clean basin for hand wash. A ‘clean field’,- which is a small area in the treatment room that has sterile items including cotton balls, alcohol, individually packaged needles, and a disposable needle container, will also need to be established before treatment can begin.
